Akao Hikaru (赤尾 ひかる, born June 16, 1995) is a Japanese seiyuu from Saitama Prefecture. On March 5, 2022, she won best New Actress Award at the 16th Seiyu Awards alongside Aikawa Kanata, Hieda Nene, and Yano Hinaki. She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit Legion:Hitotsuyanagi (2020+) related to the Assault Lily (2015+) toy line mixed media project. She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit Lapis Re:LiGHTs STARS (2020+) and its subunit Sugar Pockets related to the Lapis Re:LiGHTs mixed media project. She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit teaRLove (2018+) started by the music company Marine Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Animate stores company.

At the end of September 2019, she started hosting a radio show called "Maki Kawase and Hikaru Akao are also crazy tonight!" (「河瀬茉希と赤尾ひかるの今夜もイチヤヅケ!」; also known as 「Ichiyaduke!」) that broadcasts late at night every Monday (technically Tuesday) with Kawase Maki.

On March 1, 2023, she announced on her Twitter account that she has married a person related to the music industry.
