Amamiya Sora (雨宮 天) is a Japanese seiyuu, singer. In 2015, she won Best Rookie Actress at the 9th Seiyuu Awards alongside Suzaki Aya and Ueda Reina. While she isn't constantly working as a seiyuu, she has averaged about a main role per season from 2014 to 2021. She is most known for portraying Aqua in the KonoSuba franchise (2016+) plus the chibi crossover Isekai Quartet and Elizabeth Liones in the The Seven Deadly Sins (2014+) franchise. She is also known for main roles such as Chizuru Mizuhara in Rent-A-Girlfriend (2020), Miao Shi in Please Take My Brother Away (2017+ shorts), Isla in Plastic Memories (2015), Akame in Akame ga Kill! (2014), Asseylum Vers Allusia in Aldnoah.Zero (2014+), Touka Kirishima in Tokyo Ghoul (2014+), and Kaori Fujimiya in One Week Friends (2014).

Music career[]

She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit TrySail (where she is known by the nickname Sora-chan <天ちゃん> and Ten-chan <てんちゃん>) beginning in 2015 alongside Asakura Momo and Natsukawa Shiina. She is member of the seiyuu idol unit Rōbai Academy Year 1 Class 3 (2022+) related to the anime AKEBI's sailor uniform (2022). She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit TRINITYAiLE (2020+) related to the sinime Idoly Pride (2021). She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Days of Week Chimerio (2021-only?) formed by Yuki Aoi. She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Sweet Diva (2013-only?) related to the anime Wanna Be the Strongest in the World (2013).

Despite being very busy as a singer, she has been quite active as a seiyuu. With TrySail, she has released 15 singles, 7 of which reached the Oricon top 10 (Whiz peaked at #4 in 2016) and the remaining all reaching the top 20 (the worst reached #15). They have released 5 albums, the first 4 of which reached the Oricon top 10 with TAILWIND (2017) peaking at #3, but the most recent SuperBloom (2023 only reaching #13. They have performed 15 anime tie-in songs from 2015 to 2023 and held 13 one-man lives (all affiliated with the LAWSON convenience store chain). They have performed at Animelo Summer Live 7 times (2016 to 2019, 2021 to 2023)!

As a solo artist, she started around 2014 and has been very active ever since. She has released 12 singles, 4 of which reached the Oricon top 10 (Paradox peaked at #7 in 2020), 7 reached the top 20, and the remaining one (Tsukiakari <月灯り>) reached #25. She has release 3 albums and 1 cover album (a 2nd cover album is planned to release in December 2021), all of which reached the Oricon top 10 with the 2nd one, The Only BLUE (2018), peaking at #6. She has released 12 anime tie-in songs and and many, many, many character songs (over 100!). She has held 9 one-man lives (all affiliated with the LAWSON convenience store chain). It would have been 10, but the 2nd 2020 event was cancelled (probably due to COVID).
