Hayashibara Megumi (林原 めぐみ, born March 30, 1967) is a Japanese seiyuu, singer, radio personality, lyricist (as MEGUMI), and essayist from Tokyo. She left Arts Vision started an agency Woodpark Office (ウッドパークオフィス) in June 1999 to manage her works, but it doesn't appear to have a website. She got her first role while still in Arts Vision training school in 1986.

As a singer, she has release 44 singles (the 45th expected in late December 2023) with 33 having made the top 40 of the Oricon singles charts, 17 of those peaking in the top 20, with Northern lights (2002) peaking at #3 and don't be discouraged (1997) peaking at #4. She has release 14 albums from 1991 to 2018, all but the first made the top 40 of the Oricon album charts and half made the top 10, with bertemu (1996) peaking at #3. She has release 2 mini-albums and 6 best albums! She has performed over 60 anime tie-in songs with numerous other TV show and game tie-in songs.

  • Is a professional nurse (she started training at the same time as voice actor training in 1985) and DJ.
  • On October 7, 2020, an album called Evangelion Finally (2020) was released where she and Yoko Takahashi sang songs from the series.
  • She announced on her blog that her memoir The Characters Taught Me Everything: Living Life One Episode at a Time would be released on the 20th of Feburary 2021. Yen Press has added that the memoir will be released worldwide on the same day as Japan.
  • She won the Best Jeanist Award on the 25th of November 2021.
