Hondo Kaede (本渡 楓, born March 6, 1996) is a Japanese seiyuu from Aichi Prefecture. In 2019, she won the Best New Actress award at the 13th Seiyu Awards along side Hayashi Coco, Honnizumi Rina, Iwami Manaka, Kusunoki Tomori, and Momoyama Mirai. She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit Mischievous☆STRAIGHT (2022+) related to the mobile game Blue Archive (2021+).   • Probably due to their working together many times on Zombieland Saga, Ede-chan has become very good friends with Chanmaki (Kawase Maki). At one point after a trip together to Enoshima, they both changed their Twitter profile pictures with comments implying each was the other's best friend.
  • The lead character of BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense. (2020) had so many striking similarities to Hondo, she asked the manga author if he thought of her when creating the character, even though he assured her it was a coincidence.[1] Similarities:
    • Lead character name is Honjō Kaede.
    • In-game name of the lead character is Maple and Hondo says she was sometimes called Maple-chan as a nickname.
    • Lead character has short black hair similar to the style Hondo usually wears.
    • Lead character has a firendly, positive personality that many people say is similar to Hondo.
