Inoue Marina (井上 麻里奈) is a Japanese seiyuu, narrator, and singer from Tokyo. She was a member of a seiyuu idol unit Ame no Kisaki Shoujo Gasshoudan (2009 to 2011) related to the anime Maria†Holic (2009+). She was a member of a seiyuu idol unit Despair Girls (絶望少女達) from 2007 to 2011 (with a brief reunion in 2020) related to the anime Goodbye Teacher Despair (2007+). She was a member of several one-off seiyuu idol units.

Biography

Inoue Marina was born on January 20th, 1985, in Musashino, Tokyo. Originally her mother wanted to name her Maria, but the name was not taken well by the Christian members of her family so the 'n' was added as a compromise. Her surname, Inoue, is a stage name, and her real name has not been disclosed. Inoue has a brother two years younger, with the same birthday.

Inoue was a member of the drama club in elementary school. She attended Gakushuin Woman's High School, and later Gakushin University, where she studied political science. Kakihara Tetsuya was her upperclassman at the time. She was a member of the drama department in University.

In 2003, Inoue won first place in the Gonna be a Star auditions (hosted by Sony Music Entertainment Japan), thus earning her her first voice acting role as Cossette d'Auvergne in Le Portrait de Petit Cosette (2004). As part of this project, she made her musical debut with the single Hōseki, which was the opening theme for Le Portrait de Petit Cosette.

On Janurary 1 2022, she announced that she left Sigma Seven and changed to Aoni Production.
