Kanda Akemi

Kanda Akemi (神田 朱未, born November 10, 1978) is a Japanese seiyuu singer from Aichi Prefecture. She was affiliated with Aoni Production and became a freelancer in April 2017. She is probably most known for portraying main roles such as Ryō Fujibayashi in Clannad (2007+), Rihoko Amaha in Witchblade (2006), and Asuna Kagurazaka in the Negima! anime franchise. She might also be known for such notable supporting roles as Mana in Miss Monochrome The Animation (2013+ shorts), Chinatsu in Jormungand (2012), Nanako Dōjima in Persona 4 the Animation (2011+), Kozue Tanabe in The Squid Girl (2010+), Wakaba Tsukishima in Cross Game (2009), Nanami Kiri in Maria†Holic (2009+), and Mashiro Kuna in Bleach (2004).

She was a founding member of the seiyuu idol unit Aice⁵ (2005 to 2007, 2015 to 2016) formed by Horie Yui attached to STARCHILD sublabel of King Records and then EVIL LINE RECORDS in 2015. She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Mahora Gakuen Chūtōbu 2-A (2004 to 2005) and 3-A (2008 to 2011) related to the anime Negima! (2005+). She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit DROPS (2003 to 2004) related to the anime Teacher's Time: Doki Doki School Hours (2004).
