Kato Emiri (加藤 英美里) is a Japanese seiyuu.

Biography

Kato Emiri was born on November 26th, 1983 in Fussa, Tokyo.

While in her senior year of high school, she and Kano Yui, her classmate at the time, decided to tour the Media Research Academy, as they were considering attending there for college. They decided to attend the school, and they both went on to become seiyuu.

Kato earnede her first voice acting role in 2004 as Doria in Kyo Kara Maoh!. In the same year, she earned her first starring role as Nepo in Nepos Napos.

Trivia

• Was in a band in high school along with Kano Yui and two other classmates, where she played the drums.
• Enjoys video games, specifically Final Fantasy and Excitebike.
• Is nearsighted, and wears glasses most of the time.
• When she was cast to play Kyubey in Madoka Magica, she was told to use her best cute mascot voice. However, when she heard Yuuki Aoi talking about how much she hated Kyubey, she realized she was playing an antagonist and was able to play the character better from then on.
• Likes the character Snoopy from Peanuts.
