Kitō Akari (鬼頭 明里, born October 16, 1994) is a Japanese seiyuu and singer from Aichi Prefecture. She is a member of the seiyuu idol unit CORO MACHIKADO (2019+) and its subunit duo shami momo (with Kohara Konomi) related to the anime The Demon Girl Next Door (2019+). She is member of the seiyuu idol unit Rōbai Academy Year 1 Class 3 (2022+) related to the anime AKEBI's sailor uniform (2022). She is a member of the fictional idol unit Mystery Kiss (2021) related to the anime Odd Taxi (2021+). She is a founding member of the seiyuu idol unit Nijigasaki High School Idol Club (2017+) which is the main third generation unit of the the Love Live! mixed media franchise and its subunit QU4RTZ (2019+) with both related to the anime Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club (2020+). She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Days of Week Chimerio (2021-only?) formed by Yuki Aoi. She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Wataten☆5 (2019) related to the anime WATATEN!: an Angel Flew Down to Me (2019+). In 2021, he won Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 15th Annual Seiyu Awards alongside Ueda Reina. In 2023, she won the Singing Award at the 17th Seiyuu Awards alongside fellow Nijigasaki High School Idol Club unit members.

She transferred to Okamoto Nobuhiko's agency Raccoon Dog on the 15th of December 2021 from Pro-Fit, but the transition won't be officially complete until April 2022.

On July 29, 2022, her agency Raccoon Dog announced she has been diagnosed with COVID-19 after not feeling well at midnight on the previous day and had a fever the next morning.

Music career[]

For music, she performs under the Pony Canyon label. Her music career did not start significantly until 2019. She has released 3 singles, all of which reached the top 20 of the Oricon charts with 3rd one, Kimi no Tonari de (2020), peaking at #10. She released an album Style in 2020 which peaked at #7 on the Oricon charts. Her mini-album Kaleidoscope released in August 2021 reached #14 through October 2021. She has release 5 anime tie-in songs and many, many character songs (over 75!). She held a 3 venue one-man live in late September 2020 to early October 2020. She participated in a joint-live "Animelo Summer Live 2021 -COLORS-" at the very large Saitama Super Arena which can hold around 20,000 fans or more depending on the arrangement.

In 2017, she was a featured member of the temporary seiyuu idol unit BLEND-A related to the Blend-S anime series.
