Ōkubo Rumi(大久保瑠美, born September 27, 1989) is a Japanese seiyuu from Ehime Prefecture, but grew up in Saitama Prefecture. In 2013, he won a Best Rookie Actress award at the 7th Seiyu Awards alongside Ishihara Kaori.

Biography[]

Ōkubo Rumi was born on September 27, 1989 in Ehime, Japan, but she spent her childhood in Saitama.

In 2009, while attending college at Tokyo Announce Gakuin, she passed the audition for 81 Produce. Later that year, she made her seiyuu debut with a few minor roles in Sasameki Koto.

In January, 2011, Ōkubo earned her first major role as Hiiragi Kaho in Freezing. Later that year, she earned her first main role as Kinoshita Suguri in Happy Kyappy.

She joined the radio show Chaldea Radio Station PLUS as an alternate/fill-in host alongside Takahashi Rie and Tanaka Minami in Spring 2019 (Fate/Grand Order related radio show originally called Chaldea Radio Station that started in January 2017) and continues to co-host as of early 2023.

Trivia[]

Was in the art club in junior high, and says she is good at drawing undetailed illustrations, but bad at realistic drawings.
Likes accessories, especially ones with moon and star designs.
Favorite foods are peaches, crab, anmitsu, tea, and fried chicked.
Did not like drinking water until she became a seiyuu, at which point the taste grew on her because she had to keep drinking it to clear her throat.
Looks up to Kato Emiri, her senior from the same agency. They are close friends, and attended each other's birthday celebrations.
