You can start with the Seiyuu page template.
Romaji notes[]
Generally names of things should use ī instead of "ii", ō instead of "oh"/"oo"/"ou" (or Ō instead of "Oh"/"Oo"), or ū instead of "uu". The exception is that generally "seiyuu" is used instead of "seiyū" just to match how the subdomain looks and the wiki name (Seiyuu Wiki).
Anime role entry notes[]
- Name conventions
- Names should be first/last. If the character does not have a specific name like "Student A" or "CHARACTER NAME's Mother", it should be italicized.
- Anime titles should be italicized.
- Subtitles for sequels, ONAs, OVAs, and specials should be inside the parentheses following the main title and italicized.
- For ONAs & OVAs, the "ONA"/"OVA" label should appear before the subtitle and before the episode-count/duration-per/year.
- For specials, the "special" label should appear just before the year.
- For films/movies, the "movie" label should appear after the year.
- Apostrophe's (') inside titles and subtitles should use HTML entity
'
instead of ' (apostrophe), ‘ (left single quote), or ’ (right single quote).
- Entry examples
- If the series has episode lengths less than 20 min, use "shorts" after the year or just "short" if only a single episode.
- Chibi Stuff
2010 shorts
OVA
Typical OVA2010 short
- Chibi Special
special 2010 short
- Chibi Stuff
- Typical anime series entry:
- CHARACTER NAME
in ''
TITLE'' (
YEAR)
- If the series has less than 10 episodes, but more than 6, use include episode count after the subtitle and before the year like:
- Main anime (#
ep 2010
)
- Generally you don't need to specify if there are more than 10 episodes, but you are free to.
- Main anime (#
- If the series is exactly 6 episodes, use "mini-series" after the year.
- Roughly Half a Season (
2010 mini-series
) - Main anime (Chibi Comedy Mini
2010 shorts mini-series
) - Main anime (Chibi Comedy Mini Special
special 2010 shorts mini-series

- Role types
- There are usually 3 sections: Main roles, Notable supporting roles, and Other roles.
- Generally you can use what [https:://myanimelist.net MyAnimeList.net] shows for "Main" as main roles, but be careful to check of the main rol is plit between older and younger portrayals.
- What represents a "Notable supporting role" is mostly up to judgement, but usually they are credited within the first 8 or so supporting roles.
- As a loose rule, most younger portrayals should appear in the Notable supporting roles subsection, unless the primary portrayal is the younger version.
- Example of younger version role entry:
- CHARACTER NAME
(young) in Some anime (2010)
- CHARACTER NAME
- Examples of older version role entry:
- CHARACTER NAME
(future) in Some anime (2010)
- CHARACTER NAME
(older) in Some anime (2010)
- CHARACTER NAME
- Example of younger version role entry:
- "Other roles" is pretty much a catch all and if you have not watched the anime or are unsure who prominently the role is featured, you can throw a role here.
- If known, it is nice to have specific episodes where the character appears. Examples:
- CHARACTER NAME
(ep 1) in Some anime (2010)
- CHARACTER NAME
(ep 1-3, 6) in Some anime (2011)
- CHARACTER NAME
- If known, it is nice to have specific episodes where the character appears. Examples:
