Uchida Aya (内田 彩) is a Japanese seiyuu and singer. She was a member of the now mostly inactive seiyuu idol unit μ's (mu's) and the subgroup Printemps which are part of the Love Live! mixed media franchise.
Musical career[]
Starting around late 2010, she also was part of the popular seiyuu idol unit μ's (mu's) and the subgroup Printemps. The larger group technically ended their official activities in 2016, but has appeared several times since in Love Live! reunion events and released a new single in 2020. With the group she has released 8 albums with 5 reaching the top 10 of the Oricon album charts (including two #1s) and 2 reaching the top 20. Her first solo album (Love Live! Solo Live! Kotori Minami from μ's "Kotori Lovin' You", 2011) as Kotori with the μ's only reached #109, but it might have been released too early as the groups popularity increased dramatically starting in 2013, since her second solo album (Love Live! Solo Live! Kotori Minami from μ's "Junpaku Romance", 2014) like that reached #37. The group released 7 non-anime related singles with the last two reaching the top 10 of the Oricon singles charts and the previous two reaching #31 and #30. Of their 18 anime related singles, half of them reached the top 5 of the Oricon singles charts with five peaking at #2 (「all the time」, 「Angelic Angel」/「Hello, counting the stars」, 「SUNNY DAY SONG」/「?←HEARTBEAT」, 「We are one light」/「Future style」, & 「A song for You! You? You!!」), two peaking in the top 10, and two just outside the top 10 at #11 and #12. With Printemps, she released 5 singles, three reached the top 10 of the Oricon singles charts with 「WAO-WAO Powerful day!」 peaking at #2.
She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Tsukikage (2018-only?) related to the anime Release the Spyce (2018). She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit team UmiFure (2017-only?). related to Umi Monogatari pachinko/slot machines. She was a member of the seiyuu idol duo Magus Two (2014-only?) with Hara Yumi related to the anime Trinity Seven (2014+). She was a member of the seiyuu idol unit Paprika R (2012-only?) related to the anime Recorder and Randsell Re♪ (2012).
